MATCP 24th Annual Conference

Call For Proposals

The MATCP Annual Conference attracts over 800 - 900 attendees each year. This premier event convenes Michigan Treatment Court team members as well as leaders in the fields of trauma, substance use, mental health, child welfare, law enforcement, policy makers, and legislators.

MATCP invites you to submit a proposal for the MATCP 24th Annual Conference, that will be held May 8 -9, 2024 at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan.

The MATCP annual conference strives, first and foremost, to educate. We recognize and learn from the strength and expertise of our community, renew our mission, and chart the course for the future.

MATCP is particularly looking for proposals which include the following topics or focus:

 

  • Topics of interest to our Tribal Healing To Wellness courts.

  • Substance use or mental health topics specific to juveniles.

  • Topics specific to Veterans.

  • Impaired Driving.

  • Intimate Partner Violence.

  • Graduate Transition - services and skills to promote continued success.

  • Secondary Trauma for team members and other professionals working in the field.

  • Working with those with cognitive delays or executive functioning difficulties.

  • De-escalation techniques.

  • Issues unique to our BIPOC participants.

  • Engaging the medical community.

  • Understanding the neuroscience of addiction.

Please note, MATCP will make every effort to schedule your preferred time. However, MATCP does reserve the right to schedule workshops in a way that best fits our conference agenda.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

MATCP is proud to offer CEUs and CLEs to our attendees. Many professionals that attend our conference require CEUs or CLEs to maintain or renew their licenses and certifications. The questions below will not only help us determine if we can offer CEUs and CLEs for your workshop, but also gather the necessary information required by the granting organizations.
PRESENTATION BIBLIOGRAPHY

A bibliography based on the content of your presentation is required by our granting organizations. It has the following requirements.
 
  • Three references are required. 
  • Two of the three required references must be published in the the last 5 years.
  • References must be from a peer reviewed book or journal.
  • A website may only be listed as a fourth additional reference and only if it has a direct link to the topic being presented. 
  • References must be listed in APA format.

MATCP does not provide compensation, or travel associated reimbursement to workshop presenters.
